vedaa Box Office Collection Day 2

John Abraham and Sharvari’s film ‘vedaa’ debuted on Independence Day, and while it did well on the first day, it witnessed a significant drop in collections on Day 2. Friday was a working day, which could explain the decline. Sacnilk reports that ‘vedaa’ garnered ₹1.6 crores on Friday, raising its total net collection to ₹7.9 crores, up from ₹6.3 crores on Thursday.

On Friday, ‘vedaa’ only had an 11.87% occupancy rate. With 418 shows, Mumbai had a 13.50% occupancy rate. The occupancy rate in Delhi and the NCR region was 9.75%, with 466 shows. The film is now competing with Rajkumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2 and Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein. Stree 2 is on track to earn over ₹100 crores at the box office. Meanwhile, Khel Khel Mein has only collected ₹6.95 crores in its first two days.

John’s biggest solo opener is Satyameva Jayate (2018), which made ₹19.5 crores on its first day. His 2022 film Ek Villain Returns had a greater opening of ₹7.05 crores, surpassing vedaa. vedaa made ₹14.52 crores in its first two days. However, John’s recent movies, such as Attack, Satyameva Jayate 2, and Mumbai Saga, all grossed less than ₹5 crores on opening day.

It remains to be seen whether vedaa and Khel Khel Mein can withstand the massive success of Stree 2, which has swept the box office by storm. These two films have received far less screens than Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s smash success.
