During a conversation at Netflix’s The Actors Roundtable 2023, Kareena Kapoor discussed her involvement in the upcoming film The Buckingham Murders. She revealed vital facts, stating that her role in the film is a bereaved mother. The story begins with a tragic episode in which her character’s child is shot, which inspires her to become a detective. Fleeing her home town, she arrives in another, where she must deal with the difficulties of the case handed to her.

In a chat earlier this year, Kareena Kapoor remarked, I think I loved playing this character because it’s the first time I’m portraying a detective, and I’m a huge fan of crime dramas. While the actress said that playing this role was difficult owing to the character’s enormous anguish, she also found great delight in expressing it. She went further: This is a career-defining role for me and one of my best characters. Kareena also stated that she begged the director to make it a four-part series since she did not want to let go of the role.
