Stree 2 worldwide box office collection ₹505 crore mark at the global box office in just 10 days. Directed by Amar Kaushik, this sequel to the 2018 hit Stree brings back the original star cast, including Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee, Pankaj Tripathi, and Aparshakti Khurana. On Sunday, the film’s producers, Maddock Films, shared the latest box office numbers, confirming that Stree 2 has now grossed over ₹500 crore worldwide.

Accompanying the post was a poster of the film’s star cast, which highlighted that Stree 2 has earned ₹505 crore globally after 10 days in theaters—₹426 crore from India alone, while the overseas total stands at ₹78.5 crore. According to the producers, Stree 2 added another ₹33 crore net to its box office collection, bringing the total net earnings in India to ₹361 crore so far.
More About the Film
While the original Stree revolved around a female ghost wronged in her mortal life, the follow-up focuses on a headless villain named Sarqata, who has a connection to the titular character. In Stree 2, Sarqata kidnaps women using his eerie abilities. In a pivotal scene from Stree 2, Sarqata breaks the statue of Stree, the guardian of Chanderi, to announce the beginning of his reign.
The Success of Stree 2
In a recent interview with PTI, the filmmaker shared, We had a party and enjoyed it a lot. We were confident the film was good, but we didn’t expect it to hit such big number I’m sleep-deprived. I’ve barely slept, so first, I’ll sleep, and then I’ll start thinking about my next movie.
He also mentioned his involvement in the story of Stree 2 from day one. Amar said, We worked on the script for Stree for four to five months, and for Stree 2, we sat on it for almost two and a half years. We started working on it before we began Bhediya. We were thinking about how to take Stree’s world forward and how to bring them all together (Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan’s cameo). We wrote 16 drafts.
