Pooja Kannan, the sister of actor Sai Pallavi, recently married Vineeth Shivakumar at a traditional Badaga wedding in Ooty. Vineeth and the wedding photographer posted insider photographs of the event on Instagram, showing devastating moments when both sisters were emotional during the ceremony.
Vineeth shared multiple photos with the comment, “Endless and beyond.” The photographs show him holding Pooja for the first time after the ceremony, and they both smile. In several photos, Pooja can be seen crying with excitement as Vineeth ties him together. One of the photos shows Sai Pallavi and other family members’ emotional reaction, as they are unable to hold back happy emotions. The photographs also show some of the traditional wedding practices.
Eshant, the photographer, showed that the wedding was held on September 5th in Ooty. The photos he uploaded show Sai Pallavi helping Pooja in preparing for the wedding, with both sisters dressed in simple, traditional white clothes. Along with candid shots, the photographer also shared emotive photos of the sisters. The wedding took place at Vineeth’s family house in Ooty.
Badaga describes the Badaga community’s rituals and traditions as practical and simple. Weddings in the villages of the Nilgiri Hills follow similar traditions. Badaga weddings are often held at the groom’s home, with vegetarian food served throughout the ceremonies. Both Sai and Pooja are from Kotagiri in the Nilgiris.
Upcoming Projects Pooja made her debut in 2021 with Chithirai Sevvanam and has yet to announce any future projects. Sai Pallavi last appeared in the 2022 film Gargi. She will soon act in Amaraman, a Tamil film with Sivakarthikeyan, Thandell, a Telugu film with Naga Chaitanya, an untitled Hindi production with Junaid Khan, and Ramayana, where she will play Sita opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Thandell’s release date has yet to be revealed, while Amaraman’s is planned for October 31.
